Job description
We are seeking a skilled QA engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for testing mobile and web applications of a mission-critical public safety platform that unifies live video, alerts, and field data into a single operational view, helping officers act faster and coordinate with clarity during incidents (911 call, incident report). You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Your skills and experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for mobile, Windows and web applications, covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools, and work with engineers to drive timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and effectively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
- Monitor and report quality metrics, providing clear visibility into test coverage, results, risks, and system stability.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, ideally with mobile and/or web application testing.
- Strong expertise in manual testing with deep knowledge of QA methodologies (functional, regression, performance, exploratory).
- Understanding of client–server architecture, API behavior.
- Experience testing real-time or data-intensive applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira or equivalent tools.
- Good written communication skills in English; verbal communication skills are a plus.
